Special Functions and Dialogs
Vertices
Selecting Vertices
Select a vertex(es) in one View window (including the 3D View window)
and drag to another orthogonal View window to intuitively position the
vertex(es). This comes in handy when it is easy to see/select a vertex(es)
in one of the windows, but not in the window you want to make the
move in.
Precise Positioning of Vertices
Double-click on a Vertex to access the Vertex Move-To dialog box.
Vertex Move-To (dialog box)
New Location; Delta Offset (two radio buttons)
Click on New Location to set the data fields to reflect precise position
for the Vertex.
Click on Delta Offset to set the data fields to reflect a distance from the
current location.
X, Y, Z (three data fields)
Make entries (Units (New Location) or any number (Delta Offset) to set
the new position of the Vertex.
Precise Positioning of Control Handles
Double-click on a Control Handle to access the Control Move-To dialog box.
Control Move-To (dialog box)
New Location; Vertice Delta; Control Delta (three radio buttons)
Click on New Location to set the data fields to reflect precise position
for the Control Handle.
Click on Vertice Delta Offset to set the data fields to reflect a distance
from the current location of the selected Vertex.
Click on Control Delta Offset to set the data fields to reflect a distance
from the current location of the selected Control Handle.
X, Y, Z (three data fields)
Make entries (Units (New Location) or any number (Vertice/Control
Delta) to set the new position of the Vertex.
